Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting
Held in the Village Hall on Thu 14th July 2022 19:30
Present: Cllr T Gundry (Chairman), Cllr S Kapil, Cllr G Kettle-Gundry,
Cllr S Bunney (LCC)

There were no members of the public present.
- To receive apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Cllr R Lawrence, Cllr B Milton and Cllr Jeff Summers
- To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
There were none.
- To approve the minutes of the Annual Council Meeting held on 26 May 2022
These were resolved as a true and correct record.
- To receive reports and feedback from the County and District Council
Cllr Bunney updated that Highways had agreed to hold a meeting that would look at concerns over the signage at the A15 junction and worries over emergency services overshooting the turning. There was going to be an inspection of Sand Lane to look at the potholes.
The County Council were exploring Greater Lincolnshire devolution and benefits for the area. There was a “Good Homes Allowance” available for elderly and vulnerable to help make home improvements.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund was looking to deliver a number of small projects and Cllr Bunney was recommending to improve the rural bus service.
The Assistant Chief Constable was due in the area, and it had been recognised that policing could do with improving, a new Superintendent had been tasked with moving things forward.
- Police Matters
A written report had been received from PCSO Angie Law. There had been criminal damage to a vehicle parked on a driveway. 4 burglaries, 2 from an agricultural site and container and 2 from sheds.
- Finance
Cllr S Kapil had completed his part of updating the bank mandate, and the Clerk had helped Cllr B Milton complete his form. It was hoped that this had now been sent to Cllr R Lawrence for her to complete.
It was resolved to make the following payments and accept the bank reconciliation:
- Play Area
The Clerk had investigated the possible cost of new play equipment at the open space at the top of Dovecote Close. The Council did not have the funds to provide any new equipment and grants would need to be secured. The Clerk was asked to seek views of the Community via the Facebook page with a view to discussing at the next meeting.
8. Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Mugs
A number of the Jubilee mugs remained. It was agreed to make these available on a first come first served basis via the Facebook page. Any donation received for the mugs would be given to the Village Hall Committee or St Nicholas Church.
9. Village Planting
There was no further update on the potential cost of planters at the 4 entrances to the Village. Cllr Kapil would explore.
10. Broadband Update
Cllr S Kapil had attended the West Lindsey Broadband Meeting. There was still an issue in the Village with an Openreach collapsed conduit near the A15. It looked as if it was going to be too expensive to repair and alternatives were being looked at.
11. Planning
There were no new applications.
12. Highways
These matters had been discussed in agenda item 4.
13. Facebook and Triangle Magazine
Cllr S Kapil would alter the administration rules for joining the Community Facebook page, this was following persistent selling posts. People would now need approval to join.
The Clerk was asked to post any relevant information from meetings to Facebook or the Triangle magazine.
14. Clerk and Councillors updates
The Council debated the need for a speed camera, like those recently installed in nearby villages. The Clerk was asked to look into costs of these signs for future discussion.

In the absence of Cllr R Lawrence here was no further update on the potential cost of planters at the 4 entrances to the Village.
